h5p-image's Issues

Pull Request prequalify

Request sent through e-mail:

I work as an instructional designer and I am currently developing a Masters course for HTW Berlin. I use H5P a lot within Moodle. There are a couple features I wish we had access to, and I managed to find funding to hire somebody to implement at least one of them. I read through your pages and saw that you encourage the independent creation of new H5P features, with the option of them being pulled into the main release in the future. I was hoping that this might be possible in my case.

The feature I would like to develop has been discussed here and something related seems to already be on your radar here. It is about the capacity to resize images that are added within Columns so they are not full width. While we are at it, it would be great to have text floating around the smaller images, too.

In essence, I would like to develop a new content type, Image & Text. Basically the same thing as Image & Text in Articulate Rise, or as Bootstrap Columns where one column is an image, the other text. Ideally, we could take the existing Image and Text content types with all their existing features, and just combine them. Then we would only need to add the following two new user-determined features:

capacity to decide whether the image is on the left or right
capacity to determine the size of the image within set values: 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 of page width

And the following features not involving user interaction:

responsive design, with image changing to full-width on mobile devices
can be inserted in columns

Optional features:

Caption text for the image
The image can be a link

From the UX perspective, this would simply be a combination of the two existing content types, Text and Image, only adding two additional options: selecting the size and position of the image.

I am afraid I cannot comment on the more specific design plans โ€“ as an instructional designer, I have no JS skills or knowledge of H5P back end. I would appreciate any advice you might have in developing this new content type, I would be happy to follow your suggestions, and I could ensure that the person we hire to do the job would be in touch with you wherever it would be advantageous.

I hope you will find this project interesting!

Best wishes,

Simon

No way to edit alt tag

There is currently no way to edit the alt text of an image. I am using h5p in Drupal and can't seem to find an edit for the alt text in multiple interactive content types:

Dialog Cards
Collage(this also doesn't seem to use the h5p-image item correctly at all)
Flash Cards
Greeting Card
Guess the answer
Image Hotspots
Memory Game
Question Set
Timeline

Alt Tag editing available in:
