awesome-design's Issues

Incorrect naming of justinmind

On the index page under the Prototype heading, "JustMInd" is incorrectly written in place of Just in mind. Please do correct it, if you wish to. :)

Pixate no more

Pixate, listed under Prototype 📝, has been discontinued.

Notice on the homepage:

Saying farewell to Pixate.

When we launched Pixate over 2 years ago, our mission was to change the way mobile apps were prototyped. We joined Google just over a year ago to continue our mission, and to pursue a broader vision of changing the way products were designed and built.

While a lot of the ideas we’ve been developing could work inside the Pixate framework, we believe we can have a larger impact if we move beyond its scope. To allow us to focus on our broader vision, we will be to saying goodbye to Pixate.

You can read more about the announcement, and what this means to you, on our blog.

— The Pixate team 👋

Also - you indicate that it's MacOS only 💻, however last year it was certainly available on Windows (that's how I started using it). This is also evidenced in the above blog post link.

[Recommend] LoremGenerator.io

😉Subject: Mockup

🤔Reason: I would like https://LoremGenerator.io, a Lorem Ipsum placeholder generator that generates words, sentences, paragraphs, captions, titles, and names. It also lets you optionally wrap the generated text with HTML tags and classes.

Awesome Design 2.0 draft

2.0

In Awesome Design 1.0, this repo focus on collecting curated resources in UI/UX. However, after some researches and conversations, I found that Design is a huge industry, it has so many branches, such as Graphic Design, Illustration, Concept Design. Awesome Design on GitHub should not exclude other design branches, it has to take the responsibility, at lease, to live up to its name. Therefore, event though this is only a curated list repo, Awesome Design 2.0 is drawing a bigger picture to help not only developers and designers but also any other folks to reach more good resources.

Sorry, you have to convince me!

Thank you for those Pull Requests you guys created. Most of them are awesome resources in deed. However, some of them should be refined, polished or improved in my point of view. So, I couldn't or cannot let them in. Once they are ready to re-launch, please let me know and I will add them to the list ASAP.

Todos

  • Re-generate sections of the list, which help readers locate what they seek for more quickly
  • Provide abstract for each resource
  • Update resources, including adding new ones and remove ones not good enough

Validate Links

Hello, I wrote a tool that can validate README links (valid URLs, not duplicate). It can be run when someone submits a pull request or a commit is pushed.

It is currently being used by

Examples

If you are interested, connect awesome-design to https://travis-ci.org/ and add a .travis.yml file to the project. You can also use https://circleci.com/ which does not not require a config file in your repo.

Permission denied

Hi,
I cloned your repo and added a great tutorial resource in the README.md file. But when I tried to push my branch to master I got permission denied. How can I submit the pull request?
Thanks!

I want to contribute by adding Figma Design

Figma Design

Figma Design is arguably the best design resource in the market because its efficiency in use and how resource packed it is, so i would like to add them in the list of prototyping tools

More useful description for prototype apps

Hi guys, I think some descriptions are not so useful, for example:

Marvel - Simple design, prototyping and collaboration.
InVision - The world's leading prototyping, collaboration & workflow platform.
Origami - Design Prototyping.
Framer.js - Design tool for creating interactive designs, interfaces and animations.
Atomic - The prototyping tool designed for teams.
Pixate - Make your ideas a reality.

These descriptions tell the same thing: "I am a prototype app". However, I think I can improve this because there are many differences in their targets and usages. For example, to build a prototype, Framer.js focus on the use of code, while Pixate offers a drag and drop interface. Or about the target, InVision and Marvel focus on the navigation between multiple screens, while Pixate, Framer.js focus on complex interaction inside a screen.

Therefore, I'd like to create a pull request to improve these descriptions, based on their usage and target instead of using their slogan.

Do you guys think this is a useful thing to do? I'm asking this because I see there are many PRs already so I want to avoid working on something not useful.

Please tell me what you guys think about this?
