I recently stumbled upon the EmbeddedConnectCluster.

It looks like a sensible compromise when developing Kafka Connect connectors. Unlike a custom/fake runner, it gives me a solid degree of confidence that my connector will work with the actual Connect framework. At the same time, it starts quite a bit faster than Apache Kafka and Kafka Connect containers. I can get a simple test pass <5s. This is not great, but still much better than anything I managed with TestContainers. (this could be because I'm on ARM M1 and the debezium/connect-base container image is Intel only, so it was running in sloooooow emulation)

I think it could be helpful for others too, there aren't many resources showing how to develop & test connectors. Would you accept a PR showing how to use EmbeddedConnectCluster for testing?
