Is there a way to show an avatar image on the homepage without using gravatar? I'd like to go without any asset loading from external sources.

Some people would rather link to GitLab instead of GitHub, or both! This issue would add a gitlab.svg to https://github.com/gundamew/hugo-bingo/tree/master/static/img plus whatever changes would need to be made for it to be picked up by the config file for the home page.

Something like: https://about.gitlab.com/images/new_logo/B.jpg but to match the existing aesthetic.

When using relative paths to refer to an image or figure, it tries to resolve the path relative to the base URL of the page. I think this code from head.html is suspicious:
<base href="{{ .Site.BaseURL }}">
If I just remove it, everything works fine.
Is there any reason not to remove it?

You recent commit 3fb3ab1#diff-1578c58a761c0846adb0e788c860a12bR12 broke your theme's demo. When the website is deployed there is the following console message:

The .svg file that you reference under line 12 `/layouts/index.html does not exist in the theme repo.

Either add the .svg file or remove the reference.

Once you do the above feel free to close this issue.

Also note that once gohugoio/hugoThemes#668 is addressed you will need to keep an eye on whether the Bingo theme demo generates on the Hugo website.

We are a very small team and we just cannot keep up opening issues in the various theme repositories. Whenever a theme demo breaks and remains broken for a while, then at some point it will be removed from the list without prior warning.

I just created the website using the sample posts, and even though they appear under "\posts" they don't appear at the bottom of the homepage.
