It would be nice to be able to specify the location of the Snippley database so 
that it could be stored on a shared medium such as dropbox. Or better yet allow 
the database to be shared across the network with other machines so that remote 
machines could be browsed for snippets.

1. download 1.0 installer
2. Try to install it on OS X
3. Read the message in the box that pops.

- Expected : the software runs properly.
- Instead : Error message and app doesn't start.

You app seems to be just what I really need these days.

1. Installation of the app on a mac

I expected to see the name of the Publisher and the access rights seem very
liberal.

I really like the UI of this and the only problem is that no important features 
like

Backup
Child Categories

it will be also great if you can add some bundles 

It would be of great help to be able to change the font.

Whatever the current font is, it's very difficult for me to use for code
snippets. The colon (:) and semicolon (;) look identical unless you're
really close to the screen. Same with apostrophes (') and backticks (`),
commas (,) and periods (.)

This application would be a lot more useful if there were shortcut commands to 
create Groups, 
Snippets, Add Code, and Add Notes.

Also, it would be wonderful if there was a way to reorganize Snippets into 
different Groups after 
they've been added.

3. App did work after install.  Left for a week or so came back and it
doesn't work any more

I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and deleated as many
files as I could find but I'm still not getting anywhere.

Using 'top' or 'Activity Monitor', I see that Snippely is using between 1.5 and 
2.0% of CPU, even when I'm not actively using it (background app, ony 1 (one!) 
snippet inside).

A great feature would be a search, where you can search for a code snippets
or a note. And another very useful feature would it be, if you could create
a new subgroup, e.g. "JavaScript" there you have normal JavaScript code and
a subgroup jQuery, where you have jQuery code.

Would be a nice feature to add.

Feature request: syntax highlighting for Perl

The install on Linux fails right at the end with "Error# 1"

See heading. Would be greatly appreciated, especially since there is no
other programm of that kind for Delphi

To run the app without an error as it used to before.

Suddenly getting this error and am no longer able to run the app. I've been 
using the 1.01 version with the 
import/export feature. Deleted and re-installed. No go. Tried it with the 1.1 
version, still the same error. This is 
on my Dual-Core Intel Xeon desktop, latest OS version (10.5.7). It works still 
just find on my MacBookPro (same 
OS version):

I am not able to start snippely... System throws "Illegal system DLL

3. gain focus again (the long line won't get line wrap)

when a code snippet gets focus it should wrap the lines to make all the 
overflow text visible (like

instead the overflow(ed) lines won't get wrapped..

I've been using Snippely for two years and suddenly the app will not open. I 
have lots of stored snippets and need to recover this data.

1. Open the program in a non-Maximized mode and Snippely will not display
anything.

I expect Snippely to work in a re-sized Window. However, the only way it
will display is if the program is right-clicked to Maximize the window.

Difficult to say. I was hitting multiple returns and suddenly an entire
snippet disappeared. I lost multiple notes.

Where is the data file stored on OS X?

I tried looking at the version with import/export feature, but when I
launched it after installing in /Applications/snippley2/ directory, the
application launched empty.

The snippet disappears on my WindowsXP Machine.

1. Edit the description of any snippet and add text after a linebreak. 
2. Close snippely.

Instead of seeing the text as entered before, the text of the second line 
follows directly after the first line without the linebreak.

I wanted to make a suggestion and the title sums it up. Snippely for your 
USB Drive, it would be great. I already have my Filezilla, Notepad++, 
Putty, KeePass all on one USB Drive... Hell, I can walk into BestBuy and 
dev a site.

I'd love to have my snippely added to the arsenal.

Seems to happen in other places as well.  This is probably a bug in
whatever syntax highlighting library you are using, I doubt you wrote your
own.  If you let me know what library that is I can report this bug there,
or you guys can report it, or whatever lol.

Great little app, but I still have to click around a lot to get what I
need. I would love to be able to tab to a snippet and Ctr+C right then and
there, or even have a big fat copy to clipboard button.

Have a play with the Quick Entry window on Things:

to see just how slick you can get with interpreting user clicks on tabs and
returns. It looks simple, but it's actually a really honed interface.

Feature request: "Copy to clipboard" "button" in the code boxes.

Attached are the brushes files for C# and Objective-C, or at least a good
start for both.  They work well for me so far.

Normally you would see the normal Snippely window with all the controls
available.  Now just a blank window that shows no controls.  See attached.
