hmm sounds like hard to track down problem :)
Could you try to e.g. create some records in a parallel run and the print User.count at the start of the next run to see if they where cleared.
Another reason could be that some other resource like MemCache etc is used by both parallel processes.

I've cleared out the databases, and remade them, haven't run into any problems since. Thanks for a wonderful project, using 8 cores my tests are smoking fast, and I dont fall asleep while waiting.
