I can't reproduce from that

• make a minimal example
• try to downgrade parallel_tests 1 patch / minor and see if that fixes anything

from parallel_tests.

Now that I have undone the update, parallel is working, but my library update is frozen due to parallel testing. In my original message I added all gem versions when parallel doesn't work. It seems like some sort of incompatibility between parallel and faraday. Now we are in an ongoing week with demands in the flow. Next Monday we will try again and check if it is fixed, and if it is not I'll add the full stack trace here and anything else you may need. But if it still not working, I'll need to drop the parallel_tests gem and find another solution.
