Agree that 2-click tab suspending is not optimal for some users. Though I think a better approach would be to create a shortcut key for suspending & unsuspending the current tab (same shortcut key possibly, maybe configurable). That way we're not cluttering people's chrome with extra buttons.

The latest version has a configurable hotkey to suspend the current tab as suggested by @liamjohnston .
