email-validator-pro's Issues

Test lies because of escaping bug

Readme claims that The below are valid (but rare) email addresses that are not supported. It seems that some tests lie because of escaping bugs.
For example if you'd replace following unescaped string in test
"very.(),:;<>[]\".VERY.\"very@\\ \"very\".unusual"@strange.example.com
with escaped version
"very.(),:;<>[]\\".VERY.\\"very@\\\\ \\"very\\".unusual"@strange.example.com
then test would reveal, that this email pattern is actually supported by this library :)

Bug: incorrect validation results

Library version: 1.0.1

Note: I'm aware of Valid, But Unsupported Addresses (meaning they are reported as invalid) - this is not the case with this bug report.

Based on Wikipedia examples of Valid email addresses, following should be valid, but are considered invalid by this library:

following should be invalid (based on Wikipedia examples), but are considered valid:

  • "[email protected]"@example.com\nDuy
  • " "@example.org - space between the quotes
  • example@localhost - sent from localhost
