Problem

Currently, each push to master deploys the prod site, good. The issue is that the site is down for a couple of minutes while docker-compose is recreating the container.

As far as I know, docker-compose does not have a feature built-in to do rolling updates.

Possible solutions

I've considered Kubernetes, but it may be overkill. I only have one server.

The other solution is Docker Swarm, but that is less used in the industry... But the concepts and ideas should be similar right?

Trigger a deployment on Drone CI automatically after GitHub Actions has finished building and pushing the Docker image. This would avoid the operator from manually “promoting” the build to “production”.
