regsmeetingscraper's Issues

Outputs each match under each all parliamentary sessions being searched

Issue

After updating the script to account for structural changes to the parliamentary committee websites that this tool scrapes, the output for each search term sometimes prints an additional line indicating a match other parliamentary session with the same Issue number, date, search term, and link.

Example

When searchterms.txt contains only SOR/2018-71 and:

searchParlSessions = [42, 1], [41, 2], [41, 1]]

the output is:

Parliament:  42 Session:  1  -  Issue No. 42 - Minutes of Proceedings - November 1, 2018 [ SOR/2018-71 ]
https://parl.ca/DocumentViewer/en/42-1/REGS/meeting-43/minutes

 Parliament:  41 Session:  2  -  Issue No. 42 - Minutes of Proceedings - November 1, 2018 [ SOR/2018-71 ]
 https://parl.ca/DocumentViewer/en/42-1/REGS/meeting-43/minutes

 Parliament:  41 Session:  1  -  Issue No. 42 - Minutes of Proceedings - November 1, 2018 [ SOR/2018-71 ]
 https://parl.ca/DocumentViewer/en/42-1/REGS/meeting-43/minutes

Potential Cause

The only place where each of the parliamentary sessions are iterated is right at the start if main(). Somewhere in the logic when a match is made and added to meetingMatches it is repeated for ever session during the loop.
