Drum

Trying to sort sound for film composition

I am attempting to set up this program for a film composer I am working with in Los Angles. The goal is to use it as a way to quickly sort through and filter large databases of samples in a 3D space. I would like to try and add some other Librosa feature extraction data (such as tonal center identification) to the tag filter if possible. I cannot find your email anywhere, and didn't get it when you spoke at CalArts, so if you could please contact me at [email protected] I'd love to ask you some questions about this.

Doesn't work in Chrome or Opera

Versions of Python depencies

Hi,

Since its been a while this project is published, can someone please provide a list of the right python dependencies for me that I need to install. Also which python2 version do you need for this to run it properly?

Sound data

Are the sound files available? Are they licensed public domain / creative commons?

No such file or directory: 'data/tags.tsv'

No file tags.tsv needed to run split.py.
Can't find any info, how to generate it or even what does "tags" mean. (AudioNotebooks repo checked too)

Data is absent in repo , pls explicitly describe why

Webpack needs updating to latest

This is more of a note to myself, and others who may stumble upon the project in it's current state and install webpack at it's latest via [email protected]+

I had to lock in a specific version of webpack in order to get this to run, seems a lot of config keys were renamed / removed.. and the project won't startup without them updated.

Forgotten file drum_like.json

Hi guys,

I'm compiling the project and trying to use it, but I'm getting this error :

ERROR in ./app/Data.js
Module not found: Error: Cannot resolve 'file' or 'directory' ../meta/drum_like.json in /Users/codesandtags/Documents/development/workspaces/examples/aiexperiments-drum-machine/app

Multitouch support

Every drum machine needs it.

unclear how to generate metadata or make it optional

So I'm trying to run the experiment with just 3-4 samples and some reference audio ... I've got it all hooked up in webpack but when I hit the front page it's getting stuck.

specifically here :

I saw a routine to generate metadata somewhere.. I'm guessing I'd need to run that? Best guess is this one ? https://github.com/kylemcdonald/AudioNotebooks/blob/master/Collect%20Metadata.ipynb

Edit : after re-reading my attempt at finding the routine, I realized I ran that and it doesn't add the needed metadata key to the JSON file(s)

Edit 2 : Ah, found what's going on in your readme.md

"JSON meta files for each of the audio chunks which included the position data, color data, analysis data and meta data (this is specific to our audio set which also included a lot of meta data tags)."

So if there's a way to ignore these metadata pieces easily let me know, meanwhile I'm going to attempt to cut them out since I don't have a corresponding set of JSON data. The color and position data is simply in the TSNE tsv files .. it shouldn't be in the JSON files correct? I ran everything and it never added that to a JSON file to my knowledge. Seems that script is missing to generate it.
