@jasoncsking Thanks for the suggestion. I will certainly mark it as an enhancement, although I can't guarantee it will be considered for future releases, with Site Kit intended for basic dashboard reporting at this stage.

You can use the window.dataLayer and push the event. Keep in mind that you will need additional steps in the GTM interface to create the association between the event and the analytics. See this page https://www.bounteous.com/insights/2018/03/30/single-page-applications-google-analytics/

With GA4 coming on board and the changes to events, this is certainly more relevant than ever before. How can this NOT be a part of the plans, with GA4 as such a priority for Google right now?
