Today I realised the likeliest explanation. The greyed-out button, apparently unusable:

– no older posts. In the screenshot above, it's as if the blog began in September 2016.

The READ MORE button does appear usable.

The OLDER POSTS button appears usable – text fades in – only after the user points at the button.

I rarely aim to use (don't point at) things that appear unusable ;-) now I know, the blog began in 2013. Some catching up to do …

Is there a route from https://gitter.im/ to the blog? If so, I have never found it.

Background (discovery)

I recall promotion of Gitter + GitLab = win a few months ago during chat in https://gitter.im/gitterHQ/gitter but somehow I did not realise that it was part of a substantial blog.

Today:

• whilst seeking information about chat-cache
• I found https://gitter.im/gitterHQ/gitter?at=57040f53ab6502a50341b23f (2016-04-15) with reference to https://gitter.im/gitterHQ/change
• after discovering the change room, I noticed a blog URL in the topic
• then, the penny dropped and finally, I found items of interest 👍 in the blog.
