#Penmount TouchScreen install procedure for Raspberry PI and drivers

In this repository you can find a complete procedure to compile Rasbian kernel to include Penmount TouchScreen Drivers.

The procedure "how to install touch screen driver.txt" is very long but works!

Special Thanks to Eric who wrote it.

As alternate possibility, the full set of drivers and related install procedure from Penmount is in tar.bz2 package. I had no chances to successfully compile it, may be you will have more fortune.

xinput_calibration not working anymore on raspbian 9 -> solution

Hi,

thanks for posting this method, it almost worked for my PenMount 6000 USB.

There's actually an incompatibility with xinput_calibration and the current version of X11.

All the things you do after step 3 are not necessary and won't work.

Please refer to this post for more info: Touchscreen Calibration in Debian9

Also this snippet is very useful to build your transformation matrix: https://codepen.io/GottZ/full/d73f2f844b52b91b7457febce2d1b18c/

If you still read this repo please update your instructions :)

Thank you!

Raspberry Pi 3B+

This set of instructions does not work with a raspberry pi 3b+. I know it says for a Raspberry Pi 2. Is there anyway i could get some help making it work on the raspberry pi 3b+. Thanks in advance

calibration snippet -> wrong path to config file

correct path for configuration file (raspbian jessie 4.4.21-v7+) is
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/ and there is file "99-fbturbo.conf" so you need to make "98-calibration.conf" instead "99-calibration.conf" then all works (RPI3)!

and thanks for this great tutorial!! 1+
