OmenMon is a successor to OmenHwCtl. As a C# compiled application, it runs much faster, providing 100% of OmenHwCtl's functionality plus a lot more, including a GUI mode. Details at omenmon.github.io and github.com/OmenMon.

The primary objective of OmenHwCtl was to reproduce all the HP-specific WMI calls made by the Omen Hub, and gather them in a single command-line script for easy experimentation. I believe this has basically been completed.

So, what next?

Hopefully, you'll find OmenMon a worthy answer to this question.

OmenHwCtl can still be useful for experimentation if new BIOS calls are identified in the future but as far as general usage is concerned, OmenMon largely renders it obsolete.
