With reasonable certainty, searchPackage will fail when traversing /usr/portage/

Because /usr/portage/packages is not a category, and is not chmod u+rx for UID!=0

So traversal fails if you're not root, which is pretty annoying.

Having a look at the code more, the original bug is caused by the absense of a portage symlink in the right place, and PortageXS has no support for asking paludis about profiles.

I do need a way to add support for pms-agnostic profile detection if this is ever going to work on anything but Portage. ( Or, at very least, a configurable parameter to provide this value ).

Tests will be overhauled where possible not to abort the test suite / give better responses.

The gist of it, is that ppc64 is detected for arch instead of ppc, for some reason, and as a result, suggesting unmasks recommends ~ppc64 instead of ~ppc

Though I have no idea what is going wrong here, there's not enough context to determine fault, and the failure is temporal.

I suspect a race condition occurred so the world file was not present/had 0 lines in it at the exact time of running the test, so user may have been doing multiple packages simultaneously.
