Would be nice to have Color::from_hsv(h, s, v) and getting hsv from rgb too, either with Color::to_hsv or separate methods for each component (hue, saturation, `

provide GitHub action

GitHub now supports composite actions so we can provide an action for easy building and releasing without copying the boilerplate

Provide documentation for geng::State trait

Methods in geng::State currently have no documentation. Even though methods like update, draw, handle_input have a straightforward meaning, the purpose of the method transition is no exactly obvious.

Release a new version to crates.io

There have not been new releases for a long time, but working with a git dependency is not very convenient, especially when building libraries that depend on the engine.

Here's a list of things that need to be done before the release:

  • Fix or change rodio dependency
  • Remove or update draw2d api

Investigate potential UB

clippy::uninit_assumed_init in impl VertexDataVisitor for VDC (creating a sample to get offsets for fields)

How do I interpolate colors

I want to draw a circle/texture/etc with a different color depending on some number (i.e. health). I would expect it to be just as with regular numbers:

start_color + (end_color - start_color) * some_fraction

Maybe there should be a method Color::interpolate(start, end, fraction) that does exactly that and asserts that fraction is in range 0..=1 to ensure the result will actually be in between the two colors.

Add Curve

An ability to construct and draw different curves (i.e. Parabolic, Bezier, Circle Arc, Cardinal Spline)

Text outline

Make it possible to add outline for text render with parameters like thickness and color.
Maybe options to extend outline in different directions: inner, outer and center

FitTarget2d::make_fit() panics

Trying to fit an object with 0 with causes panic in FitTarget2d::make_fit().
