This is more complex as I've initially assumed. The main issue is that there is, as far as I know, no way to pass options down to the Vue instance.
I fiddled a bit arround today and probably found a workaround. The key point is that Kirby passes translations to Vue. This enables us to programmatically extend the plugin translations by adding a "hidden" key during render time. This key can than be comsumed within the Vue part of the plugin.
- Define option in
config.php - Read option in
index.php - Extend current language array with our "hidden" key
- Read the key using the
$thelper ($t('my.hidden.key'))
This sounds a bit hacky but it's worth a try 😈
