There should probably be some kind of logging support in a library that deals with network traffic

A 'layered' command could look like this users add "Jack Jackson" "Sally Jackson".

It would be more user friendly to offer a list of matching commands (maybe with some further information about the command) when the user starts typing and then hits TAB.

After the initial release some unit tests would be nice.

With broadcasting and the ability the address specific connections more easily and without the need for prior commands by the client

Newlines are simply displayed as \n. It is likely that the interface needs to be adjusted to split the input at each newline and display each part on a seperate line.
