Hello fuzzymannerz,
I don't know if you're still working on this nice piece of software, but I wanted to give a try to your Kitchen-Inventory because it looks faaaaar more easier to use than, for example, grocy which is really neat but I don't need all the barcode and parameters. I just need to create a list of products stored in our freezer and add/remove units easily... And from what I can see, Kitchen-Inventory would be perfect!
I wanted to install it on my Synology Nas, added the needed python3 modules and was able to launch Kitchen-Inventory, but I can't get it to communicate with the Synology package MariaDB 10 (port 3307, socket run/mysqld/ mysqld10.sock). "host" should be localhost, double checked the username (mine is kitchen_inventory) and password, tried 127.0.0.1 with no success...
Could it be because I use MariaDB 10 and port 3307 or just a matter of finding the right host?
Thank you for your time, I will try other settings and update this post if I can get it to work on my synology.
