Delving Deeper contains a simplified thief class.

• Set the thief property to true in the Delving Deeper class.
• Use delving deeper 3 in 6 chances for skills, rather than OD&D or LotFP rules.

I haven't seen a commit to this in a while, so I'm hesitant to open a new issue, but I figure it's worth a shot. I've been using this Character tool exclusively with my 100% randomly generated meat grinder games for a few years now. The LotFP setup works for the most part, but we've been more heavily using the Rules Cyclopedia (and more specifically the retroclone Dark Dungeons) for our games, and the differences are enough to be a bit jarring.

What are the chances of getting a variant that accommodates for the BECMI / RC / Dark Dungeons version of D&D?

And adding on that, what are the chances of getting a custom house rules set as well? Something like "RC, but ascending AC" or such?

This may be an obvious thing, but for other beginners:

1. Run python create.py in cmd
2. See * Running on http://0.0.0.0:5000/ come up
3. In your browser go to http://0.0.0.0:5000/ and nothing is there!
4. Go to "http://localhost:5000" instead. Random generator is there.

(Again sorry if this is a basic thing! I'm hoping to save others a Google search.)

The LotFP generator uses Brendan's OD&D equipments tables. The big issue there is the price of armour is completely off. Characters from the generator will often be far better decked out than they should be.

EPT is similar to OD&D, but different enough to be a nuisance.

• Ability scores are different, and rolled differently.
• Rename saving throws.
• Spells / skills
• Equipment lists might need to be tweaked or changed completely.

James Raggi is thinking of changing the character creation rules for LotFP.

• Constitution determines what die you use for rolling hit points, no matter what your class.
• Magic saving throws modified by Charisma.

Talk to James about what changes he is thinking of that would effect a 1st level character.

It exists for some random generators, so why not for this one?

For example, here you can generate a random character with stats and equipment, and using the random seed used to reset the random generator, you can recreate the character sheet. e.g: http://odd.pushingcows.se/?s=1496350790007 as a permalink.

You could then roll for a character on one device, being satisfied enough with it, send the permalink to yourself on another device, or share it with a friend of yours, etc.
