Heyy Sup! Decided to open an issue here which is more of a Suggestions forum, drop any crazy ideas for the theme here!

Neovim Aquarium Colorscheme Doesn't Work

Describe the bug
It looks weird and not right.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Download the plugin using packer.nvim
  2. Type the command :colo aquarium into neovim

Expected behavior
It should look like what's in the README.md

Screenshots

OS (The operating system you're using):
Windows 10

Neovim (Your neovim version):
0.6.0

Escape sequences really difficult to see

Describe the bug
Escape sequences like \t and \n for example are really difficult to see. They blend in with the background and are almost the same color

To Reproduce

  1. Install the aquarium-vim plugin
  2. Enable the colorscheme with
set termguicolors
colorscheme aquarium
let g:aquarium_style="dark"
  1. Open a text file that has syntax highlighting (eg. .cpp)

Expected behavior
Escape sequences would be more distinguishable and have a bit more contrast against a dark background

Screenshots
newline

OS (The operating system you're using):

  • Linux

Neovim (Your neovim version)

  • NVIM v0.7.0

Adittional context
I also tried to change my st colorscheme to aquarium, but that didn't change anything. NeoVim probably gets its background color from the colorscheme and doesn't care what background color st wants.

Font name?

What is the name of the cursive/italic font?
What is the name of the regular font?

Add highlight for WinSeparator

Nvim is deprecating VertSplit and moving to WinSeparator for borders in 0.10. By default, WinSeparator links to normal which does not look great for most colorschemes.

Lightline Support.

Please add some lightline support for this awesome colorscheme, This is my second favorite colorscheme apart from oceanicnext. Thank You for creating this awesome colorscheme.

Added Lualine Support.

I have liked this theme and so, I created a lualine port.
Feel Free to change it to fit the theme.

Should I work on a VSCode port?

Lately I've been using more and more vscode than neovim for coding, I've been wondering if its a good idea to spend some time for a vscode port of the theme. Let me know your thoughts!
