frost-manager's Issues

Support auth via arbitrary HTTP headers

We are using a Kong API Gateway to provide auth for our STA instance, which accepts an api token via an HTTP header of apikey. So unfortunately, we can'y currently make use of FROST-Manager.

May I request support for auth schemes based on arbitrary HTTP headers?

(Hijacking my own thread here, but I'm curious- are there any other projects that provide a UI for creating / editing entities in an STA instance?)

Thanks!

Fail to connect to 'my' Frost Server

Adding connection details (no authentication) I fail to make FROST-Manager show me something.

Downloaded FROST-Manager-0.3-jar-with-dependencies.jar, and start it with:
java -jar FROST-Manager-0.3-jar-with-dependencies.jar

Running Frost in vanilla mode, that is it is reachable with a browser by going to:
https://host.nl.nl/FROST-Server/v1.0 (port 80 reverse proxy apache->tomcat)

But adding it as 'server' it fail to show me something. In the terminal I see:

12:39:06.762 [JavaFX Application Thread] INFO d.f.i.i.s.ControllerScene - Connecting to host.nl at https://host.nl/FROST-Server/v1.0.
But then it stops doing something (or showing something).

First thought it was the proxy, but even without it fails me to show something..
Happy to share my test server hostname (plz sent email to [email protected]), just a little afraid to share it in public here and become a test server :-)

(running in Debian buster):
$ java -version
java version "1.8.0_201"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_201-b09)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.201-b09, mixed mode)

Error when creating new Thing

I'm getting this error when trying to create a new Thing on a blank FROST-Server (latest version via docker-compose). I compiled the version myself on Win10, the bintray version gives an error on startup. I tried both v1.0 and v1.1 API endpoints.

Any suggestions?
Thx in advance.

Error initializing QuantumRenderer

Hi,

i just tried to run the FROST-Manager under Windows 11, but unfortunately somehow i don't get it running. I tried it with different Java-JRE's but each time i ended up with the following exception:

Graphics Device initialization failed for : d3d, sw

I have tried to run it with the following java runtimes:

  • java version "11.0.17" 2022-10-18 LTS
  • openjdk version "17.0.5" 2022-10-18
  • openjdk version "11.0.17" 2022-10-18 (from Eclipse Adoptium)

The command i was trying to run the jar is java -jar FROST-Manager-0.7-jar-with-dependencies.jar. I downloaded the jar from here

My Machine is a Windows 11 Pro 21H2.

Any ideas, what could be wrong?

Thanks and BR

Tasking Capability

There is a Plugin Tasking Capability for Frost-Server.
Is there the way to extend the Frost-Manager to edit also Tasking Entities?
Greetings,
P
