Recently, the Splashed! window began loading seriously cropped (truncated) in both Pale Moon and Basilisk (the most recent versions of both browsers in Windows 10 1909). I see that Splashed! was updated to 1.2.3 at around that time and that it was intended to "remove unused space around splash window frame on Windows."

I have a hi-res laptop screen and aging eyes, so my DPI scaling is set to 175%. I'm not technically literate, but I have a hunch that what happened is that the change in 1.2.3 does not properly handle scaled displays and that this is what is causing the window to be cropped.

For now, I've downgraded to 1.2.2 and disabled automatic updating in both Pale Moon and Basilisk, and Splashed! is once again working fine. But if you continue to develop future releases, it would be nice if this apparent scaling issue could be resolved.

A solution to this has been found. In the form of "ctypes".

Update allwaysontop
Update close splash on main window to limit options (Because of the problems it causes with some options)
Update progress bar
Add option to load firefox while splash
Add an about:config option to override
Add about:splash to show current splash options
Add more than one built in theme
Add Sound on exit
Add Relative splash image
Add Splash import/export
Add splash profiles

• Update in option screen preview so that it isn't so buggy
  Add splash animations

Switching to using the audio tag allows us to use other audio formats aside from .wav.

The first window of Pale Moon stays focused, whichever application is active and should have focus. Even a second window of Pale Moon does not catch focus.

Some dialogs initiated from the first window (like Preferences) will be visible. However, some dialogs from some addons won't.

ATM I've the "Splash should be always on top (Windows only)" deactivated.
