I don't think this shim work is the best solution, but I'm hoping it'll help until I know better how to fix and rebuild the stairs. Possibly after the foundation work.

It's winter, and an AC in the window is making that room cold cold cold.

I go to Mt Scott Fuel they sell racks of wood for $40. First time I got one it fit in my trunk with a little on my back seat.

Dean's Innovations on Foster. The Firewood Guys in Woodland. portland.craigslist.com I used to sell upto 3 cords of seasoned Douglas Fir delivered for $220 a cord plus $30 for delivery with a dump truck but we didn't make any this year. Expect $300-$400 for Oak.
