ffem Match

Smartphone-based water and soil quality testing.

 


Installation and How to use

  1. Install ffem Match app on the phone from Play store
  2. Launch the app and select the water / soil tests to run

 


Integration with KoboCollect

ffem Match can also be used in conjunction with Data collection app such as KoboCollect

  1. Install KoboCollect app from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.koboc.collect.android
  2. Sign up to KoboToolbox at https://www.kobotoolbox.org/sign-up/
  3. Launch KoboCoolect app and set up the connection to the server as per the instructions at https://support.kobotoolbox.org/kobocollect-android.html#setting-up-server-connection-manually

 


Create Survey Form

  1. Sign in to KoboToolbox account
  2. Create a new form as per instructions at https://support.kobotoolbox.org/new_form.html

 


Add water and soil tests to the form

  1. Add a text field and name it with the name of the water / soil test
  2. In the field settings Select 'Other' for the 'Appearance' field
  3. Fill the Appearance field with ffem.match action and the test id (See screenshot below)
  1. Repeat the process for all the water / soil tests
  2. Save and Deploy the form

Get Blank Form

  1. Launch the KoboCollect app
  2. Select 'Get Blank Form'
  3. Choose the form to be filled from the form list and click 'Get Selected'

 


Fill form and run water / soil tests

  1. Launch KoboCollect
  2. Select 'Fill Blank Form'
  3. Select the relevant survey form
  4. Start filling the form
  5. For a water / soil test question, click the Launch button to start the test
  6. At the end of the survey, select Save Form and Exit

Viewing the result data

  1. Sign in to KoboToolbox
  2. Select the form project
  3. Select the data tab to view the data

Save / Load Calibration?

So that we can swap calibrations between identical models / between updates on the same phone etc? We had it before.

Calibration points for soil

For soil organic carbon, calibration points are to be: 0, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2%. Minimal calibration: 0, 1%, 2%.
