If the new node does not show up in the list after restarting, check debug/Plugins log.

If you find the following error in that log:

ERROR: org.forgerock.openam.auth.nodes.CaptureParametersNodePlugin plugin not installed
java.lang.IllegalAccessError: class org.forgerock.openam.auth.nodes.CaptureParametersNode$Config$ByteBuddy$d83VoWOY cannot access its superinterface org.forgerock.openam.auth.nodes.CaptureParametersNode$Config


The solution is to add 'public' before the Config interface declaration so that it reads:

public interface Config {
