As you make your way through these tutorials, look out for this icon. Whenever you see it, it's time for you to perform an action.

The first thing you'll have to do is start Docker. Open a terminal window using the desktop icon and type:

systemctl start docker

The password is 'oracle'.

This hands on lab consists of two modules. In the first you'll be introduced to the Fn serverless functions platform, install it, and write your first function.

In the second module you'll be introduced to the Fn Java Function Development Kit which allows you to write and test Java functions with JUnit.

Install Fn and deploy your first functions.

Use the Java FDK to write functions and unit test them with the JUnit test harness.
