Please add Windows 10 App Support. The Calculator can be opened because it is a .exe but all other !App types cant be opened like the Camera app. This would be a really nice feature!

​Well..here is a little downer for ya..
The button works perfectly with your application
However, every time I press it I get a message from Amazon saying I need to complete the process of configuring the button. (select item to associate with it)

Since this behavior annoys me and keeps alerting me on my phone I selected an item and then went back deactivated the button from my account.
Guess what? They clear the wifi settings in the button on next press.

Hello, can you or others confirm that the software stopping working about a week ago? Mine button was working perfectly with your script but all of a sudden stopped working!

Just picked up a button this week to try out with your software. I used my router logs to find the IP and mapped a reservation so that it wouldn't change. But, I can't get the daemon to pick up and fire the app. I tried notepad.exe as well as a URL shortcut with no luck.

I can see the traffic in the router log with each press.

Any ideas?

What else are you using it with?

I have it all set up and when i press the dash button it Executes my python script which hits a api. but after a few mins the application on the computer Executes my python script a 2nd time. The button was never pressed a second time. and i am only running a single instance of amazonbutton_v4.0.exe

It's really just an annoyance for me especially considering it seems more useful for debugging anyway. Otherwise its great though, thanks. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about

o shit... apparently there's a new version of the amazon dash button out. old model = JK76PL, new model is JK29LP

if I had to guess, I'd say the old model does its thing in 7.6 seconds while the new one does it's thing in 2.9 seconds.

the new model works a LOT faster, and is probably a lot nicer on the battery, however because it works faster, it's on for much less time and thus responds to far less pings (2 vs 8). Because of this, my daemon doesn't catch the button as reliably.

the good news is that my discovery program seems to work just fine on the new buttons, but the daemon needs a faster pinging program... but that may use up more resources...

need to come up with a solution for this. my latest amazon button isn't as usable since it's not as reliable... open to suggestions

Is a class C network (a /24) really a requirement? Why so? Have you done any testing?
You may want to either share more on the requirement or remote it altogether if it isn't actually there.

Initially set up the button with one command. Worked fine. Tried to change the button to execute a different command. It now executes both the first and second commands. Is there any way to flush previous associations?
