The edges of each face are sharp, not shaded smoothly.

Maybe investigate the 3js material flatShading property?

When the window is resized, the canvas should be rescaled (and the mesh recentered).

Do not recreate the canvas, instead change its width and height to avoid flashing/rerendering.

When a new mesh is uploaded, the camera should be rescaled and centered on that new object.

It could be beneficial for the physics computation for each particle to be done on the GPU. Investigation needs to be done to determine whether we can migrate the appropriate data to the GPU with the WebGPU API and perfrom the computation within shaders/kernels.

Make the mesh visualization use a (preset) normal map

Add an example base plate (just a basic square grid, maybe a different surface color) at height = 0 with realistic dimensions.

Should display some scale for reference (to see how large the print would be)
