I opened the example and tried it out. First, I hat do install Pillow, then I got this:

I tried to change the font to Arial (as it's saying above). Welp, what to do?
Btw using Py 3.7.2

Can you please provide more details (specs and background) how to mod the fan with BJT to make it accept new messages on-the-fly?

From my digging around in the protocol, I can see no obvious way of how to just have a static message display without in/middle/out transitions?

I've made a minimal example to try and get this working with WebHID but it fails with
Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: Failed to write the report.
I think maybe it's because Chrome thinks it's a protected device (eg keyboard) but I'm not sure how to check that for sure or if I've made a mistake
