mountain.json issues

Here are some screenshots I had savd, I went ahead and fixed these tiles to match the assets earlier, but now with your changes I guess I will have to double-check. And so should you, since you cant just copy my json. Because of the boat.

And while there, make sure to mark 1st two respawns as ground-special, because they dont appear in teleport list otherwise.

Impossible cave

Ok I said I would not be bothering you this much but... here we go again :) Check this out:

We enter the cave like 10 meters to the right of the stream, go to the right, then (almost) straight down, then exit to the right and end up like 10 meters to the left of the stream. This should not be possible, or - if this cave is supposed to go under the stream, then significant portion of it has to go to the left.

(just in case, the character disappearing when you enter the cave is also the canary-only issue, you can ignore it)

brown plants

I have finally caught bad plants in your version, too, so it is not something I did ๐Ÿ˜… phew.

Since as you say they appear based on camera angle, I think there is duplicated geometry issue, and 2nd copy has bad UVs.

did not notice them before because shadows keep getting optimized for me.

Rotate the camera

I need to see the other side, even if it is just untextured transparent invisible walls ๐Ÿ˜ข First person view mode would also be amazing of course.

Tiles normals?

just need a quick pointer here - as far as I see the tiles are essentially double-sided, right? The player gets hit-tested on both sides. But, is there any place in code where the tile actual direction defined/used? Like, if I were going to create a 3d tile with leaves, I need to know which side the leaves are supposed to go to.

Rendering bugs on M1 MBP

fxaa goes on and off

this is very weird issue, actually, as you know my hardware is low-end so everything gets optimized away normally, so to get nice picture I do this:

so with this, the optimizer is no-op, and I should get the fxaa pass always on, right?
However, I get these alternating images every 2 seconds or so:

undefined variable

here - you forgot to copy the part where it was set. this will throw if too many players join the same game.
