Thanks for opening the issue. But this is not a bug, but a feature request.

Regexify is a limited implementation of a regex-based generator and should probably only be used by Faker generators internally - see the comment below:

We are not adding more features to regexify as we have implemented a new positional generator that provides better readability. We are slowly reimplementing some of the more complicated generator with this new pattern.
