Kweb is a web framework that uses Ktor, with this we can integrate the frontend directly into the backend.

Pros and Cons

So obviously this comes with some pros and cons.

Pros

• Faster Development of Features
• Direct access to the backend code
• Easier to setup
• Better security (maybe?)

Cons

• Poor javascript
• Poor styling

there are probably more but I can only thing of these right now

I should possibly go one step further and convert the current /session endpoint into something like /sessions/new so managing sessions via /sessions/:id is possible.

We should probably encrypt our session cookies as well.

The backend is pretty slow right now, I somewhat improved it by switching to the Kotlin S3 client but latencies are still pretty high. We could possible introduce document caches for MongoDB and caching of S3 objects?

TailwindCSS is already installed and would be better in the long run as BlueprintJS doesn't have first class next.js support and isn't flexible enough for me.
