We noticed that when we have the Bulk Scan In Cloud App configured to Set In Process items to Done, if we include an item to be scanned that is not currently In Process, after running the scan it will set that item a Process Type of In Process. Ideally we would not be scanning items as Done that aren't In Process, but our staff occasionally make a mistake and include items that have already had their work order finalized.
I tested this behavior in Alma, if I scan an item as Done at a work order desk, and the item is not currently in Process, Alma either puts the item in transit to its owning library or directs it to be reshelved.
Ideally the Cloud App would behave the same as Alma and not scan these items back into the work order department.

Since the new version (v1.8) of Bulk Scan-In, I cannot use the down arrow to select a Department or the Work order type. I have cleared my cache and tested two different browsers without success. Could I get some help?

Although the library list is set up correctly with the newer drop-down options, we are not seeing the default circulation desk listed under all of the libraries, oddly. The ones displaying are reading room and personal delivery enabled desks, but not the default seemingly.

Have uninstalled/reinstalled but still missing in this app - this is not as useful as being able to enter in freetext the code of the circ desk as an alternative.

Duke University just went live on Alma and we've noticed that work order status values in the bulk scan-in app are listed in seemingly random order. Our users find this confusing since other values in this app are listed in alphabetical order and when they interact with work order status values in Alma they are displayed in alphabetical order by name.

Is it possible to update this app to display the status values in alphabetical order by name?

Hello, trying to bulk scan 66 barcodes and I just get a blank grey screen in the cloud app (in the area where previous tests have displayed the results). Tried on Chrome and Safari on MacOS -- any suggestions?

Could this app have a report added to it, something similar to Alma jobs? We'd like to use it but I would like to be able to see if all the check-ins are successful or have any messages with them.

Hi, Is it possible to use this app to scan at an institution level department? If not, could you consider as an enhancement? Thanks, Bill

Most of our barcodes start with the character +. The App don’t recognize this character, so the scan-in procedure fails.

1. I think in the pop up below for the circ desk it should state whether the code or the name should be entered.
2. Can we make it a pull down box which will bring all circ desks of the Library already chosen above?
3. I think we should call it "Circulation Desk" instead of circ_desk.

With the new version (Version: v1.8), we are no longer able to save configurations when setting the "Library *" to "Institution Level." We can save configurations when an actual library is selected.

Hi,
I have a problem with txt file with the barcodes. I receive the message "No items found for barcode ..."
What does that mean "line separating between each barcode"?
Maybe can you send the example.

Sorry for this basic question. But new to Cloud apps. When my co-worker is trying to use the Bulck Scan-In app she clicks the Settings link to add the Library field. But gets the error message "You are not authorized to perform the requested action". Is this an ALMA permissions problem? Any help is appreciated.

Hi Josh - it would be hugely helpful to have an option to change work order status through this tool. Due to COVID, we have a backlog of thousands and thousands of materials, many of which were received remotely while people are at home. Many of these need to change status (they're in the Acq work order) to reflect that they are in the Cataloging department, so that Cat staff know what they need to work on (much of their work is happening remotely as well right now). Because of the quantity of material, scanning in one at a time to change status isn't feasible. It would be so valuable to use this app to change work order status in addition to its other very useful features.
