The current version of the DMQC tempate made in Latex is loading the entire .txt file with configurations informations, while the calseries informations need to be written separately in summary and conclusion section.
The improvement to this process is to write the code that would automatically read all of these informations and generate the table, which could be easy loaded to Latex template.

The current version of DMQC template for core argo includes table int basic informations about the float e.g. deployment date, sensors, transmition type ect. These oarameters need to be completed manually what can lead to some human errors during typing and consume some extra time to find these informations.

It would be good to have a matlab code, which could automatically read these informations from netcdf and generate the table that could be further loaded to Latex template.

A review of the current state of DMQC tools and methods undertaken by BODC as part EuroArgo RISE project, Work Package 2 on improving the core Argo mission, identified a large diversity in software and templates used to create the final DMQC reports produced by DMQC operators at various institutions. The production of comprehensive and consistent DMQC reports is useful to document and justification of the decision made to calibrate and correct the Argo float. Moreover, this report will be an important for a new generation of DMQC operators to build their experience.

To address this issue, BODC (Clare Bellingham and myself) have drafted a template of a DMQC report for Core Argo parameters implemented using the free open-source LaTex (https://www.latex-project.org/) typesetting system and MS Word documents.

This template report includes description of visual inspection of the float, comparison with the satellite altimetry report, the OWC configurations for the specific regions, diagnostic plots generated by OWC software, and scientific justification of all the decisions made to provide the highest quality of processed Argo floats.

The final version of this template will be further integrated with the DMQC Cookbook for Core Argo parameters led by Ifremer.

I would be very grateful for any comments and further suggestions to improve this draft version of the DMQC template report.

One of the suggested improvement to the DMQC template is to implement the plot with number of reference profiles available within the defined spatial and temporal scales. That plot is already created and used by operators in Ifremer.
This plot can be very helpful in setting the most apropriate configurations based on available referenced data. The exaple plot is as follow:
