ds2fix64's Issues

Possible (soft) ban for use

I'm a casual player of DS2. The only mod/extension/whatever I use is DS2Fix64 to correct the durability issue in SOTFS. However, after installing the most recent version I have not seen a single summon sign, nor have I been summoned/invaded/etc. You may want to more thoroughly investigate whether DS2Fix64 triggers From Software's ban hammer.....

Request to fix critical damage being tied to FPS.

The way it works right now, critical damage (ripostes/backstabs/guardbreaks) varies based on FPS.

Here and here are the reddit threads I'm getting my information from.

In short, the way it works: above a certain FPS threshold, you deal more ticks of damage during criticals, and you take more ticks of damage during criticals.

Request to fix the "Disable double click" option in game

Alright, I'll try to explain as clear as I can.

So, From software did good job by implementing decent mouse+keyboard support. If you go to "Key binding" you will find that it is possible to bind actions to just left/right click and double left/right click. From also added "Disable double click support" option. And this is where problem begins.
If you did not disable double click support then following will happen:
For example you binded light attack on LMB (left mouse button)

You press LMB -> slight delay happens -> Character attacks. You rapidly click LMB -> slight delay -> Character executes what was binded to double click, if nothing was binded to double click then character just does nothing.

Problem here is that because of double click support game now waits for this second click. This introduces small lag but big enough to miss a hit and die :(.
If you disabled double click support:

You press LMB -> Character attacks. You rapidly click LMB -> Character repeatedly attacks.

Problem solved you may say. Just disable double click support, meaning enable "Disable double click". And yes, that will work until you close game. If you disabled double click support, quit game and launch it again you can see that DS2 remembers that you disabled double click support however double click support is not disabled this time. Players should turn off and on "Disable double click" option every time they launch game.

Is it possible to fix this "Disable double click" option? Can you add support for this in DS2Fix64 like line in .ini file:
Force "Disable double click" = true // disables double click support no matter what this setting in game is.
Something like that?
There are few workaround but almost all of them require rebinding attack actions to keyboard and binding mouse buttons to such keyboard keys with third-party applications which breaks mouse menu navigation in game.

Thanks in advance!
