trx is a simple toolset for broadcasting live audio. It is based on the Opus codec http://www.opus-codec.org/ and sends and receives encoded audio over IP networks.

It can be used for point-to-point audio links or multicast, eg. private transmitter links or audio distribution. In contrast to traditional streaming, high quality wideband audio (such as music) can be sent with low-latency and fast recovery from dropouts.

With quality audio hardware and wired ethernet, a total latency of no more than a few milliseconds is possible.

trx's Issues

Receive Stream

Hi

is it also possible to receiver the stream through other programs like VLC?

PID on rx

compilation

Before make in /trx/rx.c change the line
c = getopt(argc, argv, "c:d:h:j:m:p:r:v:D:"); to add D to the parameters, ifnot, not possible to write a pid with rx

Build instructions

Hi there,

It wasn't too hard to figure out in the end, but perhaps it would be useful to document (unless I missed it) what dependencies need to be installed before compilation will be possible?

On raspbian, I had to install libasound2-dev, libopus-dev and libortp-dev.
