All the main folders should be stored in the /src directory except for the /public one that should be stored outside of it.

The route files should be stored in the /src/routes folder.

The entities schemas should be stored in the /src/models folder.
1.1.6.2.2 /controllers
The controller files should be stored in the /src/controllers folder.
