edit-template's Issues

Option to disable content pane on the left.

I want to use the app to simply click on features and edit the attributes. How can I disable the pane on the left? For my use-case it just takes up space because I'm not editing geometries.

unable to add a content pane on the right

Hey Kelly,
I want to customize the application and for that purpose I want to add a content pane on the right. I tried all tricks but it doesn't show up the content pane on the right. I tried adding div tags to the existing left pane but nothing shows up. Please guide me as to how I can edit the css and index file to create a right content pane.
thanks a lot,
Julie

Wrong Readme file?

Is the readme file wrong for this app or did the whole thing get messed up. I see the readme for the elevation profile app. Or am I missing something?

Customizing the HTML - Side panel

Thank you for assisting me yesterday in adding a custom logo to the header section. Could you provide a similar snippet to add another graphic, as well as some descriptive (instructive) text to the side panel? I find that users that are not experienced with web-maps, need to be walked through how to add, or edit features. I wold thus like to add the following text right above the template picker DIV "To enter a new point on the map, click on a category below and place it on the map".

It would be great if this template could be modified to allow easier customization. I realize that the template is designed to be responsive to mobile and desktop platforms, but by programmatically creating the content, this however makes it difficult for additional customization. i.e., I would like to add a GeoCoder and Checkbox's to toggle visible layers. With the content being created in the "CreateContent.js" file, I would not know how to add these elements to the page.

Proxy configuration under js 3.22

Kelly,

We were unsuccessful in configuring proxy to secure map services with the version referencing the 3.22 api. When we rolled JavaScript library back to version 3.21, things worked as they have with some of the other application templates. I was unable to locate the 3.22 documentation to see if the urLUtils (urlPrefix and proxyURL) are available or referenced differently, but thought it best to mention this to you.

Editing popup displays last geosearch result instead of feature attributes

To reproduce, goto edit template:
http://www.arcgis.com/apps/Edit/index.html?webmap=25977874c66c4c0a8dcc181506c6fb45

Type in an address in the search bar, ie. "200 Main St", and select the intellisense entry of "200 Main St, Iowa City, Iowa, USA", or otherwise find an address.

Now go and click on the editing templates and add a point.

The popup says "200 Main St, Iowa City, Iowa, USA", not the attributes of the feature being edited. I have not seen the editing template work after an address search.

Thanks you,
Sam

Customizing the HTML

It looks like all the content for the is created through the JavaScript. If I wanted to customize this (add a logo ect.) - where would one do that?
