WARNING this is still in the early stages of development, and probably shouldn't be used

Allows ActiveFile models to interact with git repositories. This adds versioning, history, attribution, diffs, checkout of previous versions, and all of the useful features of git to ActiveFile objects.

For information on git see git

From the root of your rails project execute the following

ruby script/plugin install git://github.com/eschulte/acts_as_git.git

Or if you are using git for version control and you'd rather include this as a submodule execute the following

git submodule add git://github.com/eschulte/acts_as_git.git vendor/plugins/acts_as_git

In either case this plugin requires the Ruby/Git gem

gem install git
