Thanks for a good project.

I wonder if you have any plans to support multiple filters per column? So instead of displaying a dropdownlist where user can only select one, user could multi select?

This way user could for example filter table so that is shows personnel who are either developers or designers.

When stateSave (https://datatables.net/reference/option/stateSave) is used in the DataTables JS, the selected filter is applied to the table on page reload, but not set again to the filter dropdown.

How can I keep filterDropDown appearing on my webpage even though it has been scrolled down?

my column values are sometimes arrays of strings. the dropdown filters use them as 1 option not separated options

Problem

Currently this tool does not work probably when dataTables used with server side processing. Then only the rows of the current page are used to generate the drop down options, which obviously is insufficient.

Analysis

The reason this does not work is that filterDropDown is using column().data() to generate the options. But this can only work, if the dataTables object contains all rows. Which it does not in server side mode.

Solution

This can be solved by enabling filterDropDown to retrieve the list of options for a column via AJAX call.
