These tools are now included in Rhino 8 by default!

Use the following commands:
ResetBlockScale: BlockResetScale
MakeUnique: CreateUniqueBlock
SelectSameBlock: SelBlockInstanceNamed (you can preselect a block before using the command)

Description:

Toolbox of hard to miss features of Rhino.
Current Version 1.4

Installation:

Get the installer: Windows: here.

1. Download the .rhi 
2. Doubleclick it or drag drop into rhino window.
3. Optionally drag drop the matching .rui file from the UI folder into window to get a toolbar.
4. Enjoy.

Note: The .macrhi have not been tested yet. Any problem please open an issue.

How to use:

Run with the following commands as normal or use the buttons from the toolbar files (.rui)

Current Tools:

BlockTools:

ResetBlockScale:

Resets the scale of a block, keeping the rotation around the insertion point. Inspired by the ResetBlock script by Dale Fugier. Thank you. Example of ResetBlockScale script

MakeUnique:

Takes one or many blocks and creates a unique copy with own block definitions. Example of MakeUnique script

SelectSameBlocks:

Selects all the blocks with the same definition as the selected blocks. Example of SelectSameBlocks script

Uninstall:

To uninstall the plugin remove the BlockTools folder from the plugin folder. Ie. on windows found here: "C:\Users[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\5.0\Plug-ins"

SelSameBlock Command not working

Hello. Great tools, and thanks a lot for providing them. For some reason however, the SelSameBlock command isn't recognised and returns Unknown Command (whether I use the tool bar or type it). The others work fine. I'm using Rhino 6.

ResetBlockRotation, ResetBlockLocation, ResetBlockTransform

So this is a feature request for commands that individually resets rotation and location back to zero, and also one that reset both at the same time (transform). This has been mentioned in a few threads on Rhino Discourse where this script has come up, but other scripts are always required to perform this task as well.

MakeUnique not working with Rhino7

Hi,

After updating to Rhino 7, I have found my plugin no longer works. In particular, the MakeUnique command was great and something I was using often. When I try it on a block it fails to run the command. Is there anything I can do to try and fix it?

Toolbars wont load

Everything worked but the toolbar .rui file threw an error

Error loading toolbar file "C:\Users\K\Downloads\BlockTools.rui"
