Nushell's engine has been rewritten, and the new version, known up until this point as engine-q, will be released soon. Nushell's v0.44 blog post has more detail.

engine-q introduces a number of breaking changes to Nushell. Update panache-git so that it will continue to function as expected after Nushell's upcoming release.

When there are merge conflicts in your repository, posh-git will indicate this with a !, as described in the docs.

panache-git does not yet show a count of files with conflicts, but it should in order to faithfully emulate posh-git's default behavior.

I just wanted to say that I love it and great job! It's no small task to create a custom prompt script in nushell, especially with git status. I created oh-my.nu and I'm working on version 2 now so I know how difficult it is. Anyway, I just wanted to drop by and say, congrats! and good job!
