This is so that if a food is edited, previous logs don't change but reference the hidden, old version while future logs refer to the new one. The new one could maintain a reference to its prototype.

Look into theming Semantic UI or swap it for something else like Material (yuck).

Local state should store things that resemble database schema for simple syncing.

A few things have changed.

Try to build a component that will suggest options from a store of existing items based on the input. The suggestions should effectively be case-insensitive regex matches based on the input of more than three categories, but should not actually overwrite what the user is entering in the input.

There are improvements to codebase and workflow available now as per the Personal Library project.

Probably use GitHub or Google for now. Maybe Firebase?

Changes should be synced to the database as they occur but the app should be ready to log and go when switching to that browser tab, no reloading and refreshing.
