evm's Issues

evm not starting at start-up

Im using macbook air 2017. iterm with zsh is default terminal
to start evm i've to to "evm start" daily and also i cant close that terminal if i close it then "evm status" shows that evm is not runnning.
Is this a normal ?

Process is killed but evm status still running

Hi @duydo ,
First of all, I just want to say thank you for this very useful tool.

I have a problem with evm and glad to see how we can fix it. Said, by a chance, I killed elastic process by kill -9 2539, for example. However, evm status still shows that elastic is running, so I cannot stop by evm stop, like belows:

PC-5:zz$ ps | grep elastic
 2962 ttys006 0:00.00 grep elastic
PC-5:zz $ evm status
Elasticsearch 5.3.2 is running.
PC-5:zz $ evm stop
==> Stopping Elasticsearch
/usr/local/bin/evm: line 227: kill: (2593) - No such process
Could not stop Elasticsearch.

Any suggestion would be appreciated!
Thank you!

evm start waits 5 minutes before checking if elasticsearch has started

I was wondering why starting elastic was taking so long and found out this message:

[kucho@fedora ~]$ nc -z -w 300 0.0.0.0 9300
Ncat: Since April 2010, the default unit for -w timeout is seconds, so your time of "300" is 5.0 minutes. Use "300ms" for 300 milliseconds. QUITTING.

Where is /etc/default/elasticsearch file

Hi guys,

I have a question, I need to configure the option MAX_LOCKED_MEMORY commonly located in /etc/default/elasticsearch

but Since I'm using EVM I don't have that directory, where is it located?
