the primary function of this repo is to develop git skills over the course of the year.

  • helloworld.py
    • run with python helloworld.py
    • this will greet you and then tell you the current time
  • rzl.py
    • run with python rzl.py
    • this will offer you the ramblings of a teacher who thinks he is funnier than he is
  • dspipeline.py
    • a file containing some utilities for building data science pipelines, and an example that trains several models on adult salary data and selects the best based on cross validated metrics (consolidated efforts version)

and with that, we have finished our homework assignments for MATH 511

pin version numbers in requirements file

the current requirements.txt file just lists packages that should be installed. let's pin those to the same versions we list in our environment.linux.yaml file. those versions are:

numpy==1.19.1
pandas==1.1.3
plotly==4.11.0
scikit-learn==0.23.2
