After spending a few days trying to flash, i finally got it to flash. for a brief few minutes, i could see esp8266 show up as advertising it's access point, but I could never connect to it. I'd get errors from my mac. Now, after several reboots, I cannot get the access point to advertise any longer either.

any ideas?

Great work! GPIO2 is configured as output here. can GPIO2 be configured as input too?
Can Other GPIO's reconfigured?
It would be great, if it has atleast 1 input and 1 output.

when I try to use the interface to connect to another network, it seems to hang on scanning and doesn't proceed past that.

Is there a way to compile it on a mac?
I could use the makefile.mac from esp_mqtt but that didnt work for me.
