This is a great tool - thanks for developing it! Really Useful.

I don't quite understand why, for some countries, it displays the 'Common' name rather than the Official Name (eg Jordan rather than "Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan"), but for the UK it displays "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" rather than "United Kingdom".
No-one would ever call it that in practice, and it's not (for example) what would be written in the address.
We would just put the common name: "United Kingdom". I couldn't see a way to control this, but I think most UK users would immediately be put off by this...

As mentioned it would be very useful to have the ability to Default a country on creation as 99% of Accounts created will be the United Kindom as a default

We use this PCF component in a few places and noticed an error saying "Error Fetching data".

I took a look at the API listed and it looks like it's got a 504 bad gateway error, so i'm assuming it's offline. I'm not sure if this is prone to going offline or if it's going offline permanently, I just wanted to raise it. I appreciate you have no control over the API and it's just a public one, but thought it might be something you want to investigate or switch to another API source.

After installing either of the provided solutions I get a blank box when trying to add a custom control and have to uninstall the solution in order to add any sort of control to a text box afterwards.

Since the new look of model driven app uses Fluent2 (FluentUI 9), adapt the control using this library so the control will blend with the out of the box UI.

I am using var selectedCountryValue = Xrm.Page.getAttribute("cra1c_countriespcf").getValue() to get the country's common name,
but instead I am getting the 'cca3' value which let's say for New Zealand is NZL. How can I get 'New Zealand'.

On my environnements the flags aren't displayed anymore there is an error in the web browser console for each country which mean that the .svg file of the country isn't available on "restcountries.com" (or the URI changed).
